Second album pour Hank Harry, enregistré à la maison en y invitant quelques amis de passage (melon galia, jalouxdemonsuccès). Tout en auto-production, l'album bénéficie du soin que l'on apporte à ces petites choses rares et précieuses que l'on ne confierait pas à n'importe qui. 14 titres où se succèdent chansons pop absolues (generation26, rodeo girl) à de grands moments d'intimité et d'émotions et quelques fois quelques instants très chaotiques. A travers des textes en anglais faussement naifs et des mélodies ludiques et entêtantes, c'est tout un univers qui s'offre à l'auditeur. On n'est pas toujours loin de grands moments de ween, baby bird ou d'un daniel johnston lucide et frondeur... Avec rodeo, on passe du haut au bas, et du tragique au comique sans jamais se lasser. En attendant, mieux vaut se précipiter sur son nouvel album, parce que malheureusement, il n'y en aura pas pour tout le monde.
