A tribute to Jim PROFIT, est un hommage à la série américaine (qui porte le même nom), c'est en gros l'histoire d'un enfant qui a grandi dans une caisse en carton avec pour seule vue sur le monde l'écran de la télévision. Toute sa culture, sa morale, ses valeurs, ses modèles vont se construire à travers la TV américaine (pub, soap, jeux...).Au début de la série, on le retrouve adulte au sein d'une multinationale américaine: GRACEN & GRACEN (l'exemple parfait de la réussite capitaliste) ; sous des abords très séduisants, il ne va cesser d'intriguer.Petit à petit , Il montera les gens les uns contre les autres, profitant de la naïveté d'une secrétaire tombée sous le charme. Puis il tuera son père handicapé, et couchera avec sa belle mère (complétement junkie)...Esthétiquement, la forme reste très TV SERIES (ambiance de bureaux genre Ally MAC BEAL), mais le propos reste trés pervers.Cette série sortie dans les années 90 sera très critiquée aux EU, et ne rencontrera jamais le succès (7 épisodes seulement) car jugée trop cynique.

It's a big saga about a kid who grew up in a cardboard box, his only view of the outside world was a TV screen. His entire culture, his morals, his values, his role models will be built through American TV (adverts, soaps, games...)At the beginning of the series there is an adult in a big multinational corporation: GRACEN & GRACEN (the perfect example of capitalist success); behind his seductive exterior, a never-ending intrigue. Little by little he will get everybody around him against each other, making the most out of the naiveté of a young secretary fallen under his charm. Then he will kill his handicapped father before sleeping with his step mother (a drug addict)... Aesthetically speaking the form is very TV SERIES (office atmosphere à la Ally McBeal) but the subject is very perverted.This series, released in the 90s, was highly criticized in European countries, and never new success (only 7 episodes) as it was considered too cynical.
